Ottawa Street is home to the first Tim Hortons store.
Ottawa Street is known as the Fabric & Textile District and is Hamilton's "Decor Destination." It is the largest Fabric and Textile District in Canada and Hamilton's #1 tourist destination. It also hosts and annual Ottawa Street Streetfest, a shopping extravaganza that includes shopping deals, entertainment, foods, crafts; all a part of an outdoor street sale.
The Centre Mall farmers' market is no more, but the same local growers are now at a new Ottawa Street Farmers' Market a short distance south of the mall, which is being demolished and redeveloped.
